Will Robertson's two-run homer fuels solid offensive night for Creighton in win over
Will Robertson visited a place in Werner Park that very few hitters have Wednesday.

The Creighton outfielder’s fifth-inning home run off UNO’s Cam Fowler in a 10-6 victory traveled so far beyond the wall in right field that it bounced off the sidewalk that runs along the top of the grassy
Leon Draisaitl Womens Jersey berm.

Only big-time professional sluggers like Joey Gallo and Carlos Peguero have deposited balls there.

“The good balls that you hit, you usually don’t feel anything,” he said. “I definitely didn’t feel much on that one.”

UNO right fielder Ben Palensky never even looked up as Robertson’s 12th homer of the season sailed high above his head. It gave the Bluejays (28-15) a 7-1 cushion, one they ended up needing.

UNO (14-29) responded with [url=http://www.rangersonlineofficial.com/michael-grabner-jersey-c-2_34.html]Michael Grabner Youth Jersey four runs in the fifth to get within two before Creighton pulled away.

“Offensively, we scored in every other inning,” Robertson said. “We put up crooked numbers all throughout a game and kept the foot on the gas. That’s what you’ve got to kind of do in these midweeks. Everybody is throwing out their pitchers. You’ve just http://www.officialkingsonline.com/marce...-1_39.html got to keep grinding because you never know whose going to come back in the end. I think our offense did a great job throughout the night.”

Creighton racked up 14 hits, with Robertson matching a career-high with four, and led throughout the second of three meetings between the teams. Robertson and Thomas Luevano each drove in three runs.

Michael Emodi recorded three singles, including a clutch two-out, two-run line drive in the eighth that just eluded the Leon Draisaitl Jersey Womens glove of leaping UNO shortstop Keil Krumwiede. That doubled the Bluejay lead to four.

“We got off to a good start, and then we kind of slowed up a little bit,” Emodi said. “We were lucky to get those last three Lance Bouma Youth Jersey runs in, especially since our approach kind of changed. We were trying to hit six-run home runs with nobody on base. It’s something we learned from. That’s how we got those two runs in.”

The victory was Creighton’s second over UNO this season, and it came one night after the Bluejays edged Nebraska downtown to sweep the three-game series against their in-state rival for the first time.

Creighton coach Ed Servais said he wasn’t sure how his team would come out after Tuesday’s nail-biter.

“I liked the start of the game. We’ve had a really good knack of starting well,” he said. “And I was a little concerned today. I thought we might be a http://www.officialblackhawksonline.com/...c-1_5.html little flat coming off of last night. (There was) http://www.blackhawksofficialshop.com/la...-1_25.html a lot of http://www.oilersauthenticsale.com/leon-...-1_26.html emotion in (Tuesday) night’s game and a lot of energy spent in (Tuesday) night’s game.”

The Bluejays scored three times off UNO starter Grant Suponchick in the first inning and got RBI singles from Jack Strunc and Luevano in the third to build a 5-0 advantage. The Mavs got a run back in their half of the third, then answered Robertson’s home run with a four-run rally in the fifth to pull within 7-5.
